Experience that has shaped me the most: Four decades and counting as a person, a woman, a daughter. Two decades and counting as a mother. Cumulative experience of two decades and counting as a wife. 5 years (about) as a single mother (two tours). 17 years (or 3, depending on how you look at it) as a widow (melanoma cancer, we were both 22). Like many people, just beginning to feel truly comfortable in my own skin, understanding that the best way to honor my Creator is to be, uniquely, me. Formal professional experience includes university education (Marketing, Business and Human Resources) and work (Human Resources, General Administration, Marketing). Work experience in manufacturing, senior services and senior living, finance, education, distribution, and retail organizations. I work to support my habits, food, shelter, children, shoes, chocolate, and other indulgences. I do 'what I do' because I can't help myself, and I am grateful to be able to make a living at work in my calling. 12 Months of Marketing began as a concept, or rather a lot of little concepts. It represents a holistic approach to an operations and marketing plan from a management, marketing, and "people" standpoint. As I wrote it I tried to forget all of the things people would say they couldn't do simply because they haven't done them that way before. I hope that it makes a difference. I hope that it raises someone's spirit. Inspires someone. Empowers someone. Encourages someone. Challenges someone. Emboldens someone. If that person is 'just a woman' trying to be her best self (most of the time) then I'll be happy.
